Ep. 56 — Get on Your App and Ride: How Pelotonia is Retooling During the Pandemic
Previously on Prognosis Ohio, in an episode titled “COVID-19’S Effects on Ohio’s Non-Profits,” we addressed the larger problems challenging non-profits during the pandemic. On this week's episode, Dan continues our Ohio non-profit discussion when he talks with Joe Apgar of Pelotonia, a non-profit dedicated to fundraising for innovative cancer research. The discussion ranges from the changes Pelotonia is making to accommodate a virtual program, to seeing disparities in cancer care and research in a new light during the current wave of anti-racist consciousness-raising and advocacy, to the recent and untimely death of cyclist and avid Pelotonia contributor—Shin Iisaka.
